1. Seal Moisture with Deep ConditioningWash your hair using the Color Protect Strengthening Shampoo. Rinse well.
Seal in protective moisture with a deep conditioning using the Color Protect Reflecting Conditioner which contains wheat proteins, amino acids and other hair strengtheners to reflect light and seal moisture. Apply conditioner to the full length of the hair. Leave the conditioner on hair for 45 seconds; for extra deep conditioning, use a shower cap as the generated heat will aid in conditioner penetration. Rinse in the coldest water you can stand. Cold water will seal the hair cuticle, locking in the conditioner and adding shine.
2. Antioxidant UV ProtectantLightly pat hair dry with a towel. Spray hair liberally with Antioxidant Leave In Protectant; use fingers to work product through roots and scalp, and, a comb to work product through the ends.
3. Hydrate throughout the DayKeep hair hydrated throughout the day, especially after sun exposure for long periods. Arm yourself with a big bottle of water and the Hydrate Refreshing Mist before sun exposure. Apply the Hydrate Refreshing Mist before and after exposure to keep hair hydrated and replish the depleted moisture. The Hydrate Refreshing Mist can be sprayed liberally close to the scalp and ends as needed. Reapply as necessary.
4. Sun Protection TipsIf you use hot styling tools, such as blow dryers, hot irons, rollers, minimize use until you return from your trip. Your hair will need to recover from the daily sun exposure, and you do not want to expose it to additional heat stress from styling tools.
After swimming in salt water, rinse hair as soon as possible with fresh water to remove the salt elements. Reapply the Antioxidant Leave in Protectant. Do not allow hair to get wet in a pool, as the chlorine will damage the color.
